BASIC POINT-AND-SHOOT PLEASURES
Friday, January 20 / 7-9pm / Montpelier
Fee: $10 (Bring your camera!)
Give me two hours and I'll give you better photos. You'll learn the fundamentals of photography. You'll finally understand the mysterious dials and buttons on your point-and-shoot or SLR. If you set your camera to "AUTO” and hope for the best, this is your workshop! It includes refreshments, a handout and photo wisdom. Bring yourself and your camera to First Baptist Church of Montpelier (one block down School Street from Kellogg-Hubbard Library). Here's a map. No registration necessary. |

MASTERING YOUR CAMERA
Saturday, January 21 / 10am to 2pm / Montpelier or
Sunday, January 22 / 2-6pm / Montpelier
Fee: $35 (Pre-registration required.)
We'll shoot images inside and outside so that you can learn to set your camera for the best possible shots (and determine if your camera is actually set to conspire against you, which happens often). We’ll cover tricky lighting,
macro photography, sports, kids, nature, landscapes, artistic composition and your own photographic aspirations. Please note: the Basic Point-and-Shoot Pleasures class is a good prerequisite for this workshop. If you don't know how to control your camera's flash, ISO, white balance, metering and shutter speeds, you'll have a tough time in this workshop without having attended the Friday-evening session. Space is limited in this one. To register, send an email with your class choice (Saturday or Sunday) to Bryan Pfeiffer. |
