About Wings

Wings Photography is the work of Bryan Pfeiffer, an author, conservationist, and consulting naturalist. Bryan's images have appeared in newspapers across the globe, on CNN, in American Birds magazine and various other publications, in calendars, and on many web sites.

Bryan is co-author of Birdwatching in Vermont, a guide to finding and enjoying birds in the state. His articles and essays on nature have appeared in The New York Times, Vermont Life, Field and Stream, and Northern Woodlands magazine, among others. Bryan is co-host of the award-winning radio show, For the Birds, and hosted the public television special Birding in Vermont.

When he's not out with his camera chasing nature images, Bryan has been chief field staff for the Vermont Butterfly Survey (which means he earned a living chasing butterflies) and is an authority on dragonflies.

Bryan lives Montpelier, Vermont, where he wanders the landscape enjoying everything from ferns to frogs, orchids to otters. His latest obsession is fireflies.
